Towne Lake and the big subdivisions

A large share of Woodstock homes sit in master-planned communities built from the late 1980s onward, with Towne Lake and Eagle Watch as the best-known examples. Swim and tennis amenities, cul-de-sacs, basements and big back decks are typical, and so is the repair list that comes when a house reaches 25 or 30 years: weathered deck boards and railings, wood trim that rots where gutters overflow, interior paint that has faded and been touched up too many times, and fixtures that have simply aged out.

Many of these neighborhoods have active HOAs that check fences, mailboxes, siding and driveways. We keep exterior repairs in line with what your association allows, and we can paint or stain to your approved colors.

Towne Lake homes that back onto the golf course or the common areas also take a beating from stray balls, mower debris and sprinklers that soak the lower siding every evening. We see cracked window trim, dented garage door panels at the trim line and soft spots on the bottom course of siding. Catching those early is cheaper than replacing a whole wall section later.

Near Lake Allatoona, humidity is the enemy of wood

On the west side of Woodstock, closer to Lake Allatoona and the coves off Highway 92 and Bells Ferry Road, houses deal with extra moisture. Shade from tall pines plus lake humidity grows mildew on siding, decks and screened porches, turns deck boards green and slick, and speeds up rot at the bottom of door frames and posts. A careful pressure wash, replacing soft boards before someone steps through one, resealing the deck and checking that gutters and downspouts carry water away from the house goes a long way in this part of town.

Inside lake-area homes, damp basements and bathrooms can push caulk and grout to fail sooner. We regrout and recaulk tubs and showers, replace loose tiles and fix the small leaks under sinks that let moisture build up.

Downtown Woodstock and the new construction around it

Downtown Woodstock, around Main Street and the parks and trails nearby, has grown with newer townhomes and homes built close together. Owners here often ask for TV mounting, shelving, light fixture and ceiling fan swaps, smart doorbells and small carpentry upgrades. Toward Ridgewalk Parkway and Interstate 575, there are rentals and newer subdivisions where landlords need fast turnovers.

For move-outs, whether you are selling, ending a lease or getting a rental ready, we can do the repairs, the paint, the deep clean and the junk removal so you do not have to book four different companies.

Woodstock questions, answered.

Yes. We replace soft or split deck boards, tighten railings and stairs, pressure wash away mildew and reseal or stain the deck. Homes near the lake see more moisture, so annual cleaning and resealing helps a lot.
